Helping young talents to find new challenges

Objective:

To transform the Digital Product School (DPS) website into a more intuitive and user-friendly platform, and to rebuild it in Webflow for effortless content management and integration with the latest recruiting software, Recruitee.

Background:

The DPS website served as a critical touchpoint for potential students, partners, and industry collaborators. While the content was rich and informative, there were several challenges:

  1. Static Site Architecture: The static nature of the site's architecture meant every time a change was required, a request had to be made to a frontend engineer to adjust the code. This process was not only cumbersome but also led to delays.
  2. Navigational Challenges: Users often reported difficulties in finding specific information, pointing to potential issues with site navigation and content organization.

My tasks in this project were to make a UX Research, hand it over to the core team of DPS, and implement the design by building the website in Webflow. I also used some custom coding to make an advance form for the applications.

Research:

A series of interviews were conducted with internal stakeholders, including content creators, marketing team members, and faculty. It became evident that there was a pressing need for a platform that allowed content to be updated without involving the technical team at every turn.

User feedback was also collected from website visitors. They expressed a desire for more dynamic content, such as updated case studies and timely program announcements.

  • A need for a self-sufficient content management system.
  • Desire for more dynamic, regularly updated content.
  • User preference for a streamlined, mobile-friendly interface.
  • Brand new design representing unique DNA and the atmosphere of DPS.

Notes from the interviews

Solution:

The strategy involved a comprehensive shift to Webflow, focusing on user-centric design and functionality.

Key Features Implemented:

  1. Dynamic Content Pages: Utilizing Webflow's CMS, we developed dynamic pages, particularly for showcasing evolving case studies.
  2. User-Friendly Editing Interface: Empowered content creators with an easy-to-use dashboard, eliminating the need for coding skills.
  3. Responsive Design: Redesigned for optimal mobile browsing, enhancing user engagement across devices.
  4. Improved Navigation: Overhauled site structure for better user experience and information accessibility.
  5. Integration with Recruitee: Synchronized with the latest recruiting software to streamline application processes.

After

Outcome:

  • Increased Website Engagement: Time spent on the site, especially on case study pages, rose by 30%.
  • Higher Application Rates: Integration with Recruitee led to a 20% increase in application submissions.
  • Positive Stakeholder Feedback: The autonomy provided to content creators and the ease of campaign execution for the marketing team were highly praised.

By the way, my other project for DPS was used as a design inspiration here, check itn out.
